Mahindra is getting ready to shake things up this Independence Day with the big reveal of its Vision S concept SUV — a futuristic and electric spin on the popular Scorpio N. The full unveiling is set for August 15, 2025, at the Freedom_NU event in Mumbai, where four new concept vehicles will be showcased.
The Vision S isn’t alone. It’ll be revealed alongside the Vision T, Vision X, and Vision SXT — the latter being an evolved version of Mahindra’s Global Pik Up concept shown earlier in South Africa.
A Modern Electric Makeover for the Scorpio N
The Vision S appears to be an early glimpse at the electric version of the Scorpio N, and it’s bringing a much more modern design to the table — both inside and out (though interior shots haven’t been revealed yet).
The latest teaser offers a clear look at the SUV’s rear, including a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, a side-hinged door, and a unique trapezoidal grab handle. Interestingly, the taillights are positioned lower, integrated into the rear bumper instead of the usual higher spot.
Rugged Looks, Adventure Vibes
From earlier teasers, we know the front and side profile also carry bold, rugged design elements. Expect a sealed front grille, boxy body lines, bonnet scoops, and squared wheel arches with sharp detailing. There’s also prominent plastic cladding over the rear wheel arches, hinting at serious off-road intentions.
Other standout elements include a raked windshield, upright front structure, and likely all-weather off-road tyres. Overall, the Vision S looks like it’s built more for adventure seekers than city cruisers.
Thar EV & New Platform Also Incoming
And it’s not just about the Vision S. Mahindra is also expected to showcase a near-production version of the electric Thar, another SUV fans are eagerly waiting for. Plus, the brand will be debuting an all-new platform at the same event — setting the stage for an expanded electric SUV lineup.
While Mahindra hasn’t dropped any specs or interior images yet, the buzz is already building. The Scorpio N EV and Thar EV are expected to hit the roads within the next couple of years — signaling Mahindra’s serious push into the electric SUV marke
