The electric two-wheeler market in India continues to be dominated by a few key players, with TVS Motor Company holding onto the top spot for July 2025. According to sales data from Vahan, TVS led the pack with a solid 22,242 units sold, largely thanks to the popularity of its iQube series. Close behind in second place was Bajaj Auto, with 19,669 units dispatched, keeping the competition fierce between these two brands.
While the margin between TVS and Bajaj isn’t huge, the rankings below them show a clear struggle for traction. Ola Electric, which recently launched its Roadster e-motorcycle range, secured third place with 17,850 units. Ather Energy followed closely behind in fourth place, with 16,241 units sold, boosted by the success of its Rizta model.
Hero MotoCorp’s Vida, which had once been expected to challenge the leaders, ended July with 10,495 registrations. The recent launch of its more affordable VX2 series is expected to help boost its sales in the upcoming festive season. Meanwhile, Greaves Electric was the only other brand to cross the 4,000-unit mark, recording 4,197 sales.

Beyond Greaves Electric, the rest of the market sees a sharp drop in numbers. Pur Energy, Bgauss Auto, River Mobility, and Kinetic Green all recorded fewer than 2,000 units sold each. River Mobility, with its Indie scooter, has managed to carve out a niche and make its mark in the market. In fact, the brand is now expanding its reach across India. Kinetic Green rounded out the top ten with 1,225 units sold.
The data highlights the dominance of the top five brands, who continue to account for the majority of the sales in India’s electric two-wheeler market. While smaller manufacturers are still struggling to establish themselves, the competition among the bigger players is clearly heating up. With narrowing sales gaps among the top four brands, the second half of 2025 promises to be an exciting ride in the electric mobility space.
In a related development, Yamaha is expected to join the electric mobility race soon with a zero-emission scooter based on River Mobility’s Indie, signaling more competition in the near future.
